Lital Dotan, Window Thursdays, 2020

This winter Glasshouse relocated upstate to New Paltz, at an 1850’s farmhouse. After several months of renovation the festive opening was planned for April- then came The Great Pause.

In response to the global situation of social distancing, while respecting our commitment to live art that is based on actual presence, we now launch Window Thursdays- a weekly series of window performances presented to a single house-hold audience. A single, a couple, a family or roommates- the performance is for you- alone.

The performance is happening at the residential space of Glasshouse; audience will be seated outdoor. A window separates the audience and stage.

RSVP is required, time slots will be given to each audience member to protect everyone.

About The Series

‘Window Thursdays’ is a response to the social distancing everyone needs to practice and continues a deep exploration into the potential of the home and the everyday to become a stage for performance.  The series follows last year’s ‘Rear Window’ performance series and ‘Wednesdays’ weekly performance broadcast series, hosting performances which rotated between domestic spaces of the Glasshouse- each offering a different angle on practicing, hosting, teaching and learning performance. The previous year Glasshouse initiated the Neo Domesticity Performance Art Festival- a durational 100 consecutive hours performance festival, hosting works by 50 local and international artists all happening at the Glasshouse Brooklyn residence.
