BEAUTY SLEEP is an interactive social experiment that is fueled by performance. In this six hour act, artist Scears Lee plans to sleep for the entire duration of six hours. Participants kiss the artist. If the artist wakes up participant and artist will go on a date.

Scears Lee wants to challenge participants to be intimate, fearless and vulnerable.

Scears Lee is a Brooklyn based artist who makes performance. He creates work with low-tech design, literary and found text and discarded furniture and objects.
In New York he has shown work at Dixon Place, The Bushwick Starr, Cloud City, JACK, Mister Rogers, Metropolitan Bar, Greenwood Cemetery, Materials for the Arts and West Park Presbyterian Church. 
He has worked on projects with Bread and Puppet Theater, Basil Twist and Marina Abramovic.
